Unlock the Power of Rapé!

A Guide to Traditional Indigenous Snuff

What is Rapé?

Rapé, pronounced "ha-pay," is a traditional snuff used by Brazilian indigenous tribes. Its primary ingredient is finely ground tobacco leaf, Nicotiana Rustica, which is known for its high nicotine content. This nicotine provides a stimulating effect, making Rapé a powerful and invigorating tool. A self-applicator pipe called a "Kuripe" is commonly used to administer Rapé.

How is Rapé Made?

The process of making Rapé begins with chopping Nicotiana Rustica into small pieces. These pieces are then dried over a fire to ensure they are completely dry. Once dried, the tobacco is pulverized into a fine powder. This powder is repeatedly ground and sieved until it reaches the desired consistency for sniffing.

Unlike cigarettes, Rapé contains no chemical additives, making it significantly less harmful and less addictive. The lack of additives means that, while Rapé contains nicotine, it does not carry the same risks associated with smoking chemically-laden tobacco products.

Discovering Rapé

To truly understand Rapé, it's best to experience it firsthand. I currently offers a selection of Rapé products designed for beginners as well as more advanced users. These milder varieties allow you to explore the effects of Rapé and determine if it suits you.

How to Use Rapé

Rapé is ingested through the nose, and traditionally, it is blown into your nostrils by another person using a tool called a "Tepi." However, if you prefer to administer it yourself, you can use a Kuripe. This V-shaped pipe connects your mouth to your nostril, allowing for self-administration. While it can be easier to have someone else administer Rapé, you can learn to do it on your own with practice.

The Effects of Rapé

Using Rapé can feel like an intense mental awakening, often providing a sense of liberation and ease in letting go of negativity. The specific effects can vary from person to person and from session to session, but many users report profound experiences.
